Stay a while - Winteringham Fields provides a welcome respite from the pressures of the fast-moving world of the year 2004. Ten individually-designed luxury en suite rooms are named after former owners, residents or local dignitaries. The Lord Fitz Hugh room for instance recalls the nobleman who was 'given' the village of Winteringham back in the 14th Century by the King. It features a huge four-poster bed and an unexpected beamed bathroom. The Burkill Suite in the Courtyard has a spacious lounge, attractive bedroom and sumptuous bathroom. Other rooms in the main house are named for Thomas Westoby, Gilbert de Gant and Robert Marmion. Adjoining the Burkill Suite in the Courtyard are the Henry Kirk White and the Richard de Rivars rooms. The Dovecot & Cottage are situated approximately 2 minutes walk away from the main house. Breakfast can be taken there or in the restaurant. The Cottage consists of a large double bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen, it is totally self contained. The Colombine has a large en-suite double with small lounge area on the first floor of the dovecot. The Harlequin has a small en-suite double on the ground floor of the dovecot. There is also a breakfast kitchen on the ground floor with tea and coffee making facilities available to all the guests.
