Meta Quest 2 (formerly Oculus Quest 2) is without a doubt one of the best VR headsets you can buy today, despite fierce competition from companies like Valve Index. However, Apple may want to take over Meta’s market share in the VR space with its own VR device and operating system.
Parker Ortolani agreed Twitter distributes some of the branded apps for “realityOS”, which may indicate that Apple is considering disclosing it oculus quest 2 attending their WWDC conference on June 6 (via UploadVR). Ortolani notes that the company “usually branded products advertised at WWDC a day or two after the main presentation” and we tend to agree with its assessment that “it would be a huge coincidence.”

The term “realityOS” appeared in Apple’s source code earlier this year, but those documents also indicate that we will see it used in a VR system, as the trademark refers to “laptop.”
We know very little about Apple’s potential competitor, Oculus Quest 2, but we can’t help but think that they missed the idea by not naming their VR operating system “eyeOS”.
It is no coincidence that on June 8, 2022, there will be a worldwide unveiling of the “realityOS” brand owned by a company that apparently does not exist and is designed specifically for “laptop computing”. https://t.co/myoRbOvgJa + https://t.co/AH97r95EMn pic.twitter.com/uvsiZCj2rR

Aside from wordplay, any potential Quest 2 competitor will also have to deal with the threat of the Cambria Project. We should also not forget what Zuckerberg and the company have reserved for the corresponding Oculus Quest 3 headphones, although it will no doubt be called Meta Quest 3 when it finally arrives.
