Cruise around the world
Regent Seven Seas Cruises announces its next cruise around the world, departing in 2025. The 150-night voyage will be on board Seven Seas Mariner, which can hold 700 passengers. The cruise line is known for its luxurious cruises, but this will be the longest journey to date.
Regent’s “current” cruise around the world is 132 days long and is scheduled to depart in 2024.
The 150-night cruise will depart from Miami on January 7, 2025 and disembark in San Francisco on June 6. During this time, the ship will sail over 36,000 nautical miles, visit 25 countries on five continents and dock in 97 ports. The journey crosses 15 different bodies of water, including three oceans.
“We know our guests are looking for extended trips to exotic destinations,” said Jason Montague, president and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “Travelers will sail south to Antarctica, east to Asia and north to Alaska,” Montague said.
See UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Regent’s 150-day cruise will visit 48 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The first is the Valongo Wharf archeological site near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before the ship headed for Antarctica. After a few days there, the cruise will sail along the coast of Chile to Rapa Nui National Park (also known as Easter Island), where visitors can marvel at ancient stone figures and altars.
From South America, the ship will travel across the Pacific Ocean to Tahiti, Bora Bora and finally New Zealand to visit Tongariro National Park, then to Australia to visit the Sydney Opera House. The trip then heads to Komodo National Park - named after the giant lizards that live in the area - in Indonesia, the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
