Last year, Microsoft hosted not one, but two showcases during the E3 season. Presentation of the main games, with all the announcements and trailers, and an “extended” presentation a few days later, with some additional details and deeper dives into certain games. This year, Microsoft will follow the same formula, with an Xbox and Bethesda showcase on June 12 and a second “extended” show that will take place next week.
The presentation of Xbox and Bethesda will take place on Sunday, June 12, at 18:00 BST. Here we will receive new announcements, trailers, some release dates and our first look at the Starfield game.
On June 14th, at 18:00 BST, Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase Extended will be broadcast. During this second stream, Xbox will display “deeper insights” into the games announced during the main event. Previously, we would have expected Todd Howard to feature heavily in this show, with a deep Fallout 4-style approach to Starfield gameplay, but now that Starfield has been pushed into 2023, Microsoft could save some details and game snippets to get closer to launch. .
Xbox Game Studios currently has a lot of announced projects, including Fable, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, Hellblade 2, and State of Decay 3. These are just some of the games we already know about, so wait you. Lots of new game announcements later this week.
KitGuru says: Xbox has been very quiet since announcing the acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January, while Sony, Nintendo and other publishers made announcements in the first half of the year. It will be great to finally receive some official news from the Xbox camp.
